Guide
I began hiking 35 years ago, and have been guiding throughout Scotland for over 10 years. My working life started in health care as an Occupational Therapist but my eyes were always turned to the view outside the window!
Life took a winding road but my desire was always to live in the Highlands, so I moved here in 2018. In the past few years, I've completed the Munros (282 Scottish mountains over 3000 ft), walked the Camino de Santiago across Spain in 2010, and St Cuthbert's Way from Lindisfarne to Iona in 2022 - just to
make sure life was still happening!
If asked to describe myself in three words, they’d be: curious, conscientious and committed to sharing her love of Scotland with people from around the world and all walks of life. I am a passionate storyteller too, and for me, the best thing about guiding is when a guest genuinely comes to appreciate something that they were previously unaware of.
Hiking has taken me to Spain’s Sierra Nevada, the Canadian Rockies, Morocco & Nepal. I still have a passion for ‘through routes’ and have completed a number of these in the UK.
