Guide
Growing up in a small village in the Southern Highlands of Scotland, my connection to nature was forged early on. From the mountains and serene lochs to the winding rivers and mossy forests, I’ve always found solace in the nature that surrounds me. Whether I’m crouched down, studying the tiny wildflowers and mushrooms underfoot, or gazing up at the clouds, trying to predict when the next rainstorm will roll in, I feel most at home when immersed in the elements.
After nearly a decade spent designing and leading bespoke tours across Scotland, I felt the call to spend more time exploring the landscapes of the Highlands and beyond. I qualified as a Mountain Leader in 2023, and since then I have loved being a guide.
I’m passionate about sharing Scotland’s landscape and vibrant culture with others. What excites me most about guiding is the variety it brings—whether I’m exploring the trails with a group or creating new ways to share the ancient myths and legends that shape our history. I love weaving together narratives that not only highlight Scotland’s past but also offer guests the chance to escape the pressures of modern life, reconnecting with nature and finding peace in the present moment. There’s truly no greater joy than helping others experience the magic of the landscape I call home.
In January 2025, I joined Highland Guiding as a director, and I’m thrilled to welcome you all to explore our breathtaking scenery. With a wealth of knowledge and a deep appreciation for what makes our landscapes so special, we look forward to guiding you on unforgettable adventures.
