Day 1 – 24th August – Arrive in Edinburgh, transfer to the Cairngorms
Meet your guide at Edinburgh Airport this morning. First you’ll head into Edinburgh city centre to take in the sights and sounds of the Fringe Festival and visit Edinburgh Castle which includes the official tour.
Leaving Edinburgh in the afternoon you’ll transfer to the Cairngorms National Park.
Arrive in Aviemore and settle in to your accommodation.

Day 2 – 25th August – Active Adventures in the Cairngorms
Spend the day enjoying some active adventures in the Cairngorms with your guide. Try clay pigeon shooting in the morning then take to the waters of a local loch for a kayaking session with a local instructor.

Day 3 – 26th August – Exploring the Highlands
Today you’ll drive over to Glenfinnan in the West Highlands to hike to the viaduct and watch the Jacobite train. Today you may also want to visit the village of Fort Augustus on the shores of Loch Ness to see the locks of the Caledonian Canal.

Day 4 – 27th August – Return to Edinburgh
Check out from your accommodation this morning and head back to Edinburgh. Along the way there are lots of options again to enjoy a hike or visit a historic site such as Scone Palace or perhaps Stirling Castle. Your guide will make their farewells in Edinburgh and you can begin your onward travel.
